Lake choreography of sailboats painted by Raul Walch (with the Anyone Can Sail association)

1. Oktober 2023, 14:30 – 16:30 Uhr

Admire the lake choreography of sailboats painted by Berlin artist Raul Walch sailing on the lake!

For his work "Spherical Semaphores (Genève)", Raul Walch transformed four boats by reusing their old sails, painting them and sailing them on Lake Geneva. These reinvented sails offer a unique experience for sailors, while providing a new visual perspective on the lake for spectators from the shore. This creation highlights the reuse of textiles and the magnification of objects through the recovery of materials.

This performance is produced in collaboration with Anyone Can Sail, an association whose aim is to promote the world of sailing by making it accessible to all. It offers introductory courses and discovery outings to social, socio-educational and cultural organizations, while adapting the cost of its services. In addition, volunteer events are organized each season to offer introductory outings. Founded in 2021 by the Geneva Sailing School, it is based at the Port des Pâquis in Geneva.

This is your chance to take some great photos! Share your best shots with us and a selection will be printed and exhibited at the next edition of the Biennale de l'Art et de la Nature Urbaine.

This artistic performance on water is part of the closing weekend of the Biennale (re)connecting.earth (02) - Beyond Water, for more information:
