Denim Szram is a sound and media artist and graduate of the Basel Academy of Music. His artistic work oscillates between music production, performance, multimedia installations and immersive soundscapes. As an electronic musician he creates compositions for spaces, dance and theatre. He is an expert in the field of 3-D audio and uses it for the acoustic staging of spaces. The starting point of his work is the experimentation with sound synthesis and field recording which, depending on the context, can be experienced as a performance or a sound installation. In addition, he extends sound to other media and creates audiovisual systems and sound interfaces to explore possible uses of new technologies.
