Flurina Badel & Jérémie Sarbach

Flurina Badel was born in Lavin, in the canton of Grisons, in 1983. After training as a journalist, she worked as a documentary maker and presenter, among other things. In addition to her work with the Badel/Sarbach duo, she is also a writer and poet, publishing texts in Romansh and German. She won the Swiss Literature Prize in 2020. Jérémie Sarbach was born in Binn, in the Upper Valais, in 1991. Trained as a cabinetmaker, he now works as a sculptor, visual artist, photographer and film-maker.

Badel/Sarbach's artistic work uses a variety of media (installations, sculpture, photography, video, sound and performance). The duo, who have been working together since 2014, are interested in themes such as the evolution of the landscape, the relationship between nature and culture in the Anthropocene, as well as new forms of communication and the interface between the analogue and digital worlds.
