Association pour la Sauvegarde du Léman
The Association pour la Sauvegarde du Léman (ASL) is a French-Swiss non-profit, non-political association of scientific reference, and recognised as a public benefit. Since 1980, the ASL has worked to ensure that the waters of the lake and rivers of the Lake Geneva basin remain as pure as possible. After the battle against phosphates, there are other concerns that require our vigilance – such as macro-waste, micro-plastics, micropollutants and invasive species. Its concrete actions on the ground, its approaches to policymakers, its awareness campaigns, its outreach programs for young people, and its quarterly magazine help to ensure a sustainable ecological state of the lake. The ASL works on a daily basis to ensure the proper functioning of aquatic ecosystems, and to ensure that Lake Geneva remains a source of drinking water for future generations. The ASL's work is recognised by federal, cantonal/departmental and communal administrations, as well as by the population for its seriousness and objectivity.
