Anne-Laure Franchette & Manon Briod
For (re)connecting.earth (02) - Beyond Water, Anne-Laure Franchette and Manon Briod explore the theme of waste. The two artists' installation takes as its starting point the waste from Lake Geneva washed up in Pro Natura Geneva’s Pointe à la Bise nature reserve. Their work consists of a series of banners made from bioplastics, as well as a printed collection (reader) exploring questions of production and materiality as an object of study and artistic practice.
À nos épaves evokes both an industrial history of complex materials that are difficult to dispose of, and current explorations of new materials capable of integrating and/or disintegrating harmoniously in different environments.
